On Saturday, June 16, 2012, I was able to officiate at the wedding of Lois and Josh Coker. Lois, Josh, and I had prepared for this day for many months. The wedding took place at the Lighthouse on St. Simons Island, Ga. This is a great venue and a beautiful setting for a wedding. One of my favorite things about this venue in particular and St. Simons in general is that bottle nose dolphins swim very close to the shore. One good omen is that before this wedding I saw several.

Before the ceremony, Josh and his groomsmen nervously blew off some steam as the musician played popular tunes.

The reception was prepared in the Lighthouse museum. The table displays were simple but elegant.

I particularly loved the way that the wedding cake continued the beach theme.

This wedding is also memorable because of the presence of the couple’s “child” Tucker. I just couldn’t resist taking a few photographs of the three of them.

Thank you very much Lois and Josh for allowing me to share in your special day! I cherish the memory.
